《Insecure Tide Land》
Mudflats had been an unspecialised existence that secured the diversity of organisms as a cradle to life. There exists communities of corals and complex plankton sneaking away from dramatic change to continue spinning their beautiful secret. However from the beginning of the 20th century, we humans begin to fill these mudflats to build industrial complexes, continuing to destroy the costal area’s unstable ecosystem by disposing pollutants into the river. This fact is not only a disaster to the plankton. Education is also a mudflat that I have been involving myself with as a great analogy. Reaganomics triggers a raid by the monster, market fundamentalism, forcing the enormous growth of plankton and small fish similarly, to be sent to the market. There, no basic research or philosophical thoughts are requested, only the speedy supply of products (artwork) answering the market’s demands.
Where does the future of a planet with no mudflats face?
